Stuart Hameroff talks about consciousness and I was completely unaware that there was so much into it. Hearing about all the different electros and gaps that allow us to think the way we do is fascinating. I didn't know there was so much to the brain and what goes on in it. Having the front and back of the brain be coherent is linked to consciousness and to think that all that is happening under some bone in our heads. Its interesting to see what it is that makes us think and I would love to get a brain scan done so I could see what it is about my brain that makes me think the way I think.
When he talks about us being helpless spectators, I would have to agree. We do things that we think we can blame on our conscious, but in reality we are choosing to perceive what we want to. Thinking that we can control is simply an illusion. Gets me thinking that maybe were are all here to think many different things and see how it all plays out. We are unable to change we want to think and that leads to more things and so on and so forth. Letting myself talk to myself is weird now because is that really me or just some sub thoughts that were planted into my brain years and years before.
