I enjoyed reading further on trying to understand the consciousness. The two directions that one can encounter while trying to figure out who they are are very interesting. Nothing more than a sophisticated neural net or a pure spirit. I wouldn't know exactly how to answer to which one I was. I would like to think I am a pure spirit, but in todays world and everything that we are exposed to that its very hard to keep your belief system separate from everything else. Its also hard to think that we are just neural nets that are transmitting DNA and brain censors connected to something that we are supposed to work for.
The pretext is the neural net or connectionist, is this to the brain? And the text being the "I" consciousness and helps you deteremine what exactly you are along with the context that helps fill in all the little blanks with information. This article was interesting, its hard to think that our brain is so powerful to be able to think of things like this. Knowing that smaller things make up bigger things and everything seems to have a purpose. And without one of the three important factors, then something is missing and you can't fully understand everything. This can definintely be applied to life, I think thats what she was applying it to, not books. Why do we want to know what it takes to understand a sentence of a book which is finally broken up to little lines, that are broken up to electro's and atoms of ink.
