Why I am not a Christian-week 3

Learning about the dynamics of this religion and what it is that ultimatly took Russell off the Christian course was very interesting. I would have to agree that you must have an amount of defininte belief in Christianity before you have the right to call yourself a Christian. There are those that are out there that believe in one small part of Christianity and call themselves Christian, but wont accept anything else. If you want to fully be able to call yourself a part of any religion, should be ready to accept everything that comes with that religion. If the religion calls to not drink caffine, then you shouldn't allow yourself to drink a Pepsi once a month, its not allowed by the religion. There shouldn't be a law on how to practice religion, but if you are ready to call yourself part of that religion, then you should be ready to do so.

I liked reading about what a Christian is exactly. Hearing the two essentials was very intruiging to me because knowing that there are essentials to believe in to fully call oneself part of a religion is a smart thing. It's better to have these kinds of essentials then to not and have people who just want to abuse the name.
