I was fascinated by this article. I enjoyed hearing about the reasearch that went on and hearing about the different religions trying to cover up their mistakes. I found it very funny that Twitchell copied from Radhasoami and then denied it. He copied it word for word and word, and people believed him. Its sad because we have people out there who will belive anything no matter what. If you tell them that if you take this pill, you will be able to walk on water, the pill would be sold out in a mere minute. There are so many superstitions out there that people will do anything to protect them and to get more people to join them.
Its funny that John Rogers Hinkins was caught and then tried to cover it up. Robbing Mr. Lanes house to try and make it seem that someone else did as classic. If someone is going to go through so much trouble to cover something up, you know its good. There isn't much someone can do to make it better once it has been discovered. After reading this article, I definitely want to read more about this Eckankar religion or cult, and see what exactly it is. I have never heard about it and would love to start looking for over religions that might be a fake as well. Very interesting article, I feel sorry for the people who have fallen for these cults and can't find there way out them.

Some succeed in ECKANKAR;some fail. Some practice the Spiritual Exercises of ECK faithfully;some don't. Some are able to make a connection to the Light and Sound of God and meet ECK Masters of the Ancient Order of the Vairagi.
Those that do take precious little notice of those who leave the teachings then turn their bile on Paul Twitchell.
